pool filter leaks on union pvc pipe?

In the attatched pic there is a leak in my Jandy filter. The first is at the union between the pvc pipe and the second is on the black hose where it clamps down to the return with the 4 screws. I have threaded it with tape and gasket sealant to plug the union to no avail. It did slow it down however. Should I tighten with a wrench? The hose I have not tried yet.

try to patch it the same as you would a tire... dont use the wrench... too much torch....
