Depends on what you want. These days you can get HD or SD in that price range. However all HD cams in that range are pretty poor cameras because the manufacturer just stuffed as many pixels as possible, forgoing things like color quality and stuff. So in that range I'd go SD. You can get the PV-GS-320, which has 3ccds for great color and quality video, it has optical image stabilization, plus it uses tape which is a + in my book because I can archive it. If you have SD cards you have to keep deleting old videos unless you buy a gigantic external hard drive to store them on.
