The Canon LBP-2410 Printer Collection

The Canon LBP-2410 printer is a laser printer manufactured by Canon. The working of this machine is quite simple with Canon 2410 laser toner. A laser beam projects an image of the object onto an electrically charged rotating drum. The drum prints the image onto the paper by direct contact and heat which fuses the ink on the paper. Such devices have a thin fixing film heated directly by a ceramic heater. As heat is transferred to the fixing film printing is done immediately.

The popularity of this series has seemingly gone down for the past few years. Even so, the fact is that this machine was the first of its kind to have the Canon Advanced Printing Technology using Canon LBP Series printer toner. This was considered Canon's unique and quick demand-fixing system that enabled fast printing. The technology made data processing to be performed totally by the computer system and not by the device itself. During its premier years of release, it was ranked third fastest among all others at that moment.

For efficient operation it calls for proper connection to the computer and communication between the two. For this, first a driver's disc should be installed in the computer's operating system. However the buyer has to consider the operating system being used. It is also advised that the user installs an original version of the drivers with a genuine serial code for activation. After installation, the computer can easily recognize the hardware and will be able to send print jobs. A USB cable is the connection medium used between the two.

The drivers of this machine initially supported only Windows XP professional. With the upgrade in its technology, the current version of the drivers includes 3.00.00 published by cannon which supports several other operating systems. These include windows 7, windows vista, windows server 2003, windows server 2008 and windows 2000.

It has a resolution of up to 9600 dpi (measure of printing resolution). This being a high resolution makes it able to produce high quality texts and images. There is also a preset collection of color modes but also included are color tools that enable expert users to set to their preference.

There are three technologies incorporated in the color capt technique mentioned. "Soft UFR" (Ultra Fast Rendering) that enables fast printing of color pages, "Hi SCoA" (Smart Comparison Architecture) that compresses data sizes and finally the pipeline technology that manages memory. All these contribute immensely to the device's fast printing.

The toner, which contains the ink, comes with a rotating CMY barrel of toner cartridges. Putting the toner in place involves a simple procedure of squeezing the tabs located in the middle of the cartridges and inserting them. The toner itself is oil-less in nature, producing less blotches and less gloss.

With its fast printing capabilities and Canon LBP-2410, it holds a maximum of one hundred and twenty pages on its flap. It also has network capabilities in case it is being used in departments or work groups where there are several printing jobs using Canon printer toners. All one has to do is install an optional AXIS internal network card. The Canon LBP-2410 printer has been considered an ideal machine for the professional scene due to all these capabilities with toner refills.
