250f valves and springs help?
im coming of an 85 and im about to get a 250f pre-owned.when i get the 250f i want to put a new piston is it,new cam chain,new valves,valve springs and shims.i just want to make sure everything is "perfect" and new in the top end.i want to use stainless steel valves and im looking at kibblewhites and pro x,pro x is cheaper but im guessing kibble white is better quality?but i see with stanless stell valves you need different springs other them oem.money is super tight and springs are expensive!i know oem cant be used with kibblewhite's or any other stainless stell but is there any other compnay's springs i can use that are cheap,good quality and will work for stainless steel? anyone ever use the xceldyne springs?there super cheap!but i dont think there quality or even made for SS valves? help,please!remember im looking for cheaply priced spring,quality and springs that will work for stainless steel valves.thanks!
Unless you are racing full time Stainless valves are a huge waste of money.The stock valves are good quality and as long as they are installed and serviced properly they will last a long long time.
