i wanted to know how the teflon repair is done do you use teflon tape or some other kind of teflon?
I have replaced the clutch push rod oil seal on a v45, same engine design. You have remove the left engine cover to get the oil seal. But first you to drop the engine. There is no other way. Not teflon nor brass fitting will work. The actual repair/fix is very simple. The problem is how to get to the oil seal.
Possible solution. Pull out the clutch rod. Have a machine shop make you one out of stainless steel but maybe 1mm thicker. Cheaper fix. If it does not work, it would have cost you few dollars only.
I only thought of this fix after I have already changed the oil seal. Would have done it.
